Six HKPR COVID-19 cases travel-related

As of the morning of March 20 there remained six confirmed cased of the COVID-19 virus within thejurisdiction served the by the Haliburton Kawartha Pine RidgeDistrict Health Unit none within the County of Haliburton.

According to the HKPR website the fourwomen and two men all in their 60s or 70s had all been travellinglately. It also indicated they are all in self-isolation at thistime. Four of the cases were confirmed in Northumberland County andtwo in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

While those who contract the coronavirus oftenexperience mild symptoms there is increased risk for those aged 65and over; those with compromised immune systems; those withunderlying medical conditions; or those who've recently travelledabroad.

Anyone who's travelled outside Canada is asked toself-isolate for 14 days and this is especially important for thoseaged 16 or younger Ontario's chief medical officer  of healthhas said.
