Motorists hitting animalsP { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }

Of the 15 collisions Haliburton OPPhave responded to since Aug. 8 four have involved animals beingstruck by vehicles.

Two deer a bear cub and a moose havebeen hit by cars in the past few weeks police say. None of themotorists were injured.

Three of the 15 reported collisions tookplace in parking lots.

The OPP are reminding motorists towatch for wild animals which can appear suddenly on the roads ofHaliburton County.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the OPP are collaborating on a project aiming to reduce the number of deer-car collisions in the area.
