Circulation continues to climb at library

The Haliburton County Public Librarycontinues to grow with circulation up nine per cent last year.

The library recently released its annualreport with figures for 2015.

Circulation for the year was 160495 upfrom 147646 items circulated in 2014.

More than 15000 of those circulated itemswere digital.

The library has 51408 items in itscollection adding nearly 6500 items last year.

More than 6200 people attended some 283events at library branches and more than 10000 people accessed the Internetusing public access computers.

Some 6087 residents – equating to morethan a third of the county's year-round population – have a library card.

Funded by the County of Haliburton thelibrary includes eight branches in Haliburton Village Minden CardiffWilberforce Gooderham Dorset Stanhope and Highland Grove.
