Close to 40 individuals from Haliburton County were recognized for their volunteer service at an annual ceremony held in Lindsay on May 19.
Hosted by the Ministry of Citizenship Immigration and International Trade the event presented 39 area residents with the Ontario Volunteer Service Award for their dedication and service to local organizations such as 100.9 Canoe FM Haliburton Highlands Health Services Girl Guides and more.
Among the recipients were Lyle and Tammy Donaldson who were celebrated for their 25 years of volunteering with the Wilberforce Agricultural Society.
Recipients from Haliburton County were recognized for either five 10 15 20 or 25 years of service.
