Minden Hills council cost $162K for 2016

Minden Hills council cost just more than $162000 to operate for 2016.
Councillors for the township received a report on their remuneration for last year at this month’s committee-of-the-whole meeting.

Reeve Brent Devolin was paid about $26870 used just over $1000 in benefits charged about $250 in mileage and had conference and education costs in the amount $1150 for a total of approximately $29330.
Deputy-reeve Cheryl Murdoch received about $21500 in remuneration and used about $3400 in benefits for a total of less than $24900. She charged no mileage and had no conference expenses.
Councillors Pam Sayne Jeanne Anthon Jean Neville Ron Nesbitt and Lisa Schell were each paid approximately $18140. With benefits mileage and conference expenses Sayne’s total was approximately $23955; Anthon $22790; Neville $21630; Nesbitt $20290; and Schell $19200.

The township’s four-member committee of adjustment – Larry Clarke Dianne Dougall Robert Orlowski and Dick Schell – had total expenses of approximately $4200 for the year.
