The Haliburton Highlands Ontario Provincial Police are investigating two break and enters in Minden Hills.
On Dec. 13 at approximately 8:54 a.m. members from the Haliburton Highlands OPP received a report of a break and enter at the Minden United Church on Newcastle Street in Minden Hills.
The investigation thus far has revealed that sometime between Dec. 12 at 8 a.m. and Dec. 13 at 8:10 a.m. an unknown person(s) forced entry into the church and stole a quantity of cash and a 50-inch Sharp television.
On Jan. 10 at approximately 7:19 a.m. members from the Haliburton Highlands OPP received a report of a break and enter at the S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena on Parkside Street in Minden Hills.
The investigation thus far has revealed sometime during the overnight hours on Jan. 9 an unknown person(s) forced entry into the arena and stole a quantity of cash and caused significant damage inside the building.
The Haliburton Highlands OPP is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding these investigations they are being asked to contact the Haliburton Highlands OPP at 1-888-310-1122 .
