Minden’s Up River Trading Co. has a new neighbour – Up River Trading Co.

The downtown business has expanded into the building next door at the corner of Bobcaygeon Road and Newcastle Street.

“We have more walls and more floor space” says owner Mike McKeon “so we can really show some unique art. Most importantly we have more display space for our printing.”

Along with home furnishings decor and art Up River Trading Co. offers customized digital printing on clothing pillows etc. performed by designer and co-owner Paul Roy.

“We recently upgraded our equipment” McKeon says. “It really gives us more quality.”

Customized wares include odes to cottage country lakes printed on T-shirts and baby pillows bearing the name birth date and size of newborns.

Designs can be customized from scratch.

The business will also be offering the printing of digital photos on canvas which McKeon says can be overlaid with lettering.

“It can be your lake it can be your cottage name” he says.

The new space which includes works by local artists will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. closed on Mondays.
