The Highland Storm would like to take this opportunity to thank our large group of dedicated volunteers. Over 100 adults from our community volunteer their time from coaching trainers managing teams running tournaments working on the executive and many other thankless jobs all to make sure that the children of our community can continue playing and participate in hockey.
Thank you for your time commitment and unwavering dedication to the sport to our community and player development. You share your time and talents without any compensation.
Early morning practices and late night games sitting in cold arenas tying skates re-taping sticks and travelling in the worst of weather are all a part of what you do. All while keeping a watchful eye over players. You watch with pride as your players keep getting better as the season progresses you pat them on the back and tell them how far they’ve come and offer more encouragement to get stronger faster and smarter. You instill good work ethic constantly reminding your players that when they put a strong effort in numbers on the scoreboard at the end of the game are secondary and that holding your head high after a game is the most noble thing.
The Highland Storm Association operates entirely through the efforts of volunteers. Without them over 200 young hockey players would not have the opportunity to participate in the hockey programs that are offered today by the Highland Storm.
The more involvement we have the stronger our association is and the better the hockey experience will be for the players and parents alike.
We would also like to take this time to thank our many great community sponsors! You play a vital part of making sure that Minor Hockey remains affordable for the many families in our community. Thank-you for your ongoing support to our community!
