Business owners in Minden Hills are encouraged to join the conversation about collaboration and promotion by signing up for the Minden Hills Business Association’s Basecamp group.

“Discussion continues on Basecamp which is an electronic work-space that is easy to access and use – sort of a workgroup Facebook” says Shawn Chamberlin one of the association’s co-chairs.

The association which was revived by Minden merchants earlier this year held a meeting at the Dominion Hotel last week.

“It was well attended with a very positive vibe” Chamberlin says. “A lot of very good ideas and a strong commitment to moving ahead as a group. Some of the things we discussed were upcoming fall and Christmas promotions and how the business association could support existing efforts in the community to help enhance traffic and commerce.”

The association was responsible for March’s Maple Magic which included decorating downtown Minden businesses featuring maple products and a March 26 dance.

The next meeting of the Minden Hills Business Association will take place at the Dominion on Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
