Weather – including a downpour of freezing rain – might have affected the numbers of people who turned out for Kinmount’s Winterfest on Feb. 10 and 11 but not their spirit.

One family arriving to events on Feb. 11 as the rain poured down who said they were from the “suburbs” of neighbouring Irondale said they hadn’t expected it to be raining but wanted to come out to give the kids something to do and to support the community.

The weekend of events included a Saturday night dance an antique snowmachine show a fur display and skating and sledding opportunities.
